The banners the Knights-Vexillor carry contain a fragment of the great anvil upon which the Stormcast Eternals were forged. The power that radiates from them fortifies all those who fight nearby. As with the Vindictors, they all have multiple head options and I must be getting brave as a painter having chosen the faces over the usual masked models. Once all the sprues are out of the way, you’ll find another divider identical to the one on top. Whilst my upper divider was in pristine condition, this one had suffered a little in the box. Unfortunately, this one would not be wall-worthy thanks for a few puncture wounds from the sharper bits of plastic atop it. The new 3rd edition rulebook for Warhammer Age of Sigmar has some big changes for AoS. Most have been announced and shown by Games Workshop during the build-up to launch. The new core rulebook in Dominion has a full-art cover that's only available with the Dominion box and shows Yndrasta bringing the hurt on some Chaos spawn. This novel by Darius Hink plunges directly into the setting of the Era of the Beast as the Kruleboyz rise up and the Thunderstrike Stormcast Eternals take to the field.

The peculiar appearance of hobgrots is inspired by the Hobgoblins of old, notable for their cruel grins, spiteful blades, and some unusual technology in the form of those riveted iron grenades. When did these Orruks get so smart? The main struggle is her left sleeve as the parts you have joined will need clean up. However, there are other parts in the way of doing this. With a sharp hobby knife and some patience, combined with a bit of flexing, you can get in there. But this is where this format of push-fit lets you down. What’s really nice is that a full unit of 10 warriors all has distinct sculpts. There are similarities, but no two are the same. Killaboss with Stab-Grot I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: love them or hate them, you can’t deny that GW produces some of the best artwork out there. Just look at it! It’s a glorious piece of artwork that’d look incredible framed and looming over your hobby or gaming cave – provided, of course, it hasn’t fallen foul of any pointy bits of sprue.Killaboss on Great Gnashtoof: Particularly storied Killabosses can procure all manner of terrifying, swamp-dwelling mounts from the Beast-breakaz to show off their status. The model comes supplied with a Citadel 105mm Oval Base. There’s nothing on this model you can paint in sub-assemblies. Parts like the inside of the robes do not look fun. Lord-Imperatant with Gryph-Hound Placed into 2 battalions, the Command Entourage for an additional enhancement which is spent on an extra Holy Command as well as the Redemption Brotherhood to make all of the non-heroes a one-drop, lowering the army’s drops from 11 to 6 allowing you to maybe choose who takes first turn if you come up against a high drop army. Another couple of awesome models, really easy to build again. With so many details there was some annoyances with the mould lines in detailed areas, but again the join lines have sensible placements to avoid them being visible on the final model. For starters, Yndrasta, the Celestial Spear is a gorgeous, beautifully designed diorama of a model, composed of elegant lines, and replete with personality – not to mention 200% easier to put together than she looks. Likewise, the Lord-Imperatant and Knight-Arcanum are full of satisfying detail, with noble poses that both befit a hero’s stature on the field, and make wonderful painting projects.

To end a positive note, it is great to see that there is not one single error in this book. All of the parts are correctly numbered. If you follow the guide step-by-step. you won’t go far wrong. Warhammer Age of Sigmar Dominion – Sprue A – GutrippazKnight-Arcanum - The Knight-Arcanum are wizards unit with access to the Blaze of Heavens spell, which can deal D3 mortal wounds to an enemy unit within eighteen inches. The range of the spell is boosted by two inches for every Thunderstrike unit within twelve inches of the Knight-Arcanum, so surround them with friendly warriors for a long-rage sniping spell. Plastic Push-fit Citadel Miniatures: At the heart of the Dominion set are two armies of brand new miniatures, each cleverly designed so they can be pushed together without the need for glue. Each force includes a flexible range of powerful units armed with devastating weaponry and wargear, and they can easily be bolstered with additional reinforcements to act as the elite core of a larger army. These models include:

This is another complex model and well put together. The Gryph-hound does have a join line across his chest and spine but these are easily hidden with a decent plastic glue and clean-up no more difficult than with a mould line.Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group, and make sure you enter the latest monthly giveaway for FREE today! With so many units across two sprues, it’s great to see that there are only two/three sets of twins (C & D + E or F), though each of these at least has a distinctly different head option.

Killaboss on Great Gnashtoof: Particularly storied Killabosses can procure all manner of terrifying, swamp-dwelling mounts from the Beast-breakaz to show off their status. The model comes supplied with a Citadel 105mm Oval Base. The new Thunderstrike Priest the Knight-Relictor is cheaper in cost. He has no built-in prayer on his warscroll but he does bring a new ability in that enemy Prayers and Invocations will not affect himself or friendly Stormcast wholly within 12” on a 4+ (rolled each time that unit would be affected). Monsters Knight-Arcanum: Members of the mysterious Valedictor temple, Knights-Arcanum are unknowable but potent mages charged with protecting recovered ancient lore. The model comes supplied with a Citadel 40mm Round Base. The Kruleboyz revel in the chaos of the rise of the Earthquake God, Kragnos. The forces of Destruction threaten to overwhelm the Realms, but fear not! The Dominion box also contains an army of heavenly warriors ready to hold the line. Thunderstrike Stormcast Eternals I think, expect one (not two) of these sprues to come in the AoS 3.0 Starter sets that follow Dominion. Warhammer Age of Sigmar Dominion – Sprue C – Knight-Arcanum

Blending time! I mix Sotek with Ultramarines Blue Contrast in different proportions and paint that over the intermediate areas to get some smoother blends from blue to turquoise. You can see this most prominently on the greaves. I also use it for some shading. This set of six scenery pieces represents the trappings of a Dawnbringer Crusade settlement. Mark objectives during your games or use them to add some Era of the Beast spice to your games.
